"Fish, Chips, Cup 'o Tea, Bad Food, Worse Weather, Mary Poppins, London!"

I have been here for only one week and I am already starting to get behind on posting new things.

On the morning of the 5th, I took a little journey into the Roman Baths.  As a little history note, when the Romans invaded England and settled into Bath, they found the natural hot springs in the city centre and declared them a holy site, as they could only be produced by the gods, particularly the goddess Sulis Minerva, to whom they dedicated the Roman temple at the site of the baths.  Much of the original temple is still on display.
After taking that in, I railed into London Paddington Station.  From there, I took the Tube (London Underground) to the Westminster stop.  I was surprised by how immediate the Houses of Parliament are once out of the station.  I was a bit early for meeting a friend, so I took the river-walk along the Thames - taking in the London Eye, Aquarium, Somerset house, and the overall style and fashion of London.  I was immediately in awe of the experience.  And I started to enjoy the city more and more with every step.  After meeting up with Sarah, we consumed an excellent British dish, called pizza, and then trekked over to Trafalgar Square.

To end the evening, we figured what a better to enjoy my first time in London, then to head over to Alexandra Palace for a little rock concert with Editors.  This being my 4th Editors show, they did not disappoint!  Not a bad first visit into the country's capital.
